Stop giving your sweetie shirts and slacks for special occasions. He gets enough of that from his mom and sisters. Give him something more meaningful and personal such as items that he really craves for or things that he is diligently saving for. Scour the bookstores or ask some antique book sellers if they have the first edition of his favorite poetry. Or compile the works of his most admired composer and put them together in one CD. Or get him tickets to watch the band he's crazy about. Single? Give thanks whenever and wherever it's due. Grateful people are happy people. When you show your appreciation for a little act of kindness, you make that person realize that you did not take that deed for granted. Say thank you when a door is opened for you, or when someone allows you to squeeze into a crowded line. Give thanks to a Higher Being for all the blessings that are given to you.
